I've been quite busy these past few months, working on
Obstacles Icefall, and a lot has happened since my last journal. So I'm taking this time to surface with some news.
First up,
the comic has been renamed... again. Icefall is back as the title, and I learned the important lesson that one can be
too clever with titles. Sometimes simpler and eye-catching is better than clever and subtle.
Second, Icefall itself continues apace. We're eight pages in, which by my estimate puts us at roughly 1/6th through the story length. I want to thank everyone who's followed me with the story so far, and to thank you all for your comments and faves. We're almost at the end of Act I, and I hope you'll enjoy the ride we'll be putting our two explorers through!
Speaking of wild rides, I see that I've passed the 10,000 pageview mark. Holy cats! So a second thank-you to everyone who's visited and especially to my watchers. You're the best.
To celebrate, I'm hosting a Kiriban contest for the 11,000 pageview mark. Send in your screenshots and the closest person to 11,000 can get a marker drawing (see below for samples).
Lastly, new sketchcards! These are the first for the 2013 convention season.
More sketchcards are on the way, as well as other goodies and, of course, more Icefall!
